Customer Profiles
In this session, we’re still learning some ground work, but this will be very important to go ahead and get a good look at the psychological profile of your target audience. If you are one of the demographics that is, say, you’re going to sell a golfing clubs and you’re an avid golfer, then it will help you in filling out a psychological profile, otherwise, you might have to do some research.



So what we’re going to do now is learn how to harness thought triggers, psychological triggers that affect people’s buying decisions. Why are we doing this right now? Okay, so let’s review what you’ve done so far in the membership form below.

You have defined your goals and your purpose and you’ve chosen a niche, good for you. You even began to write in an incentive white paper, that PDF where you answered the ten questions. So why are we doing this right now, okay? The reason is because the very next thing you’re going to do is actually put up an email newsletter opt-in form on your website. So some of the next steps are setting up an email newsletter, setting up your website, and putting this form inside of a newsletter, automatic response, so when someone signs up, they’re going to get your eBook, okay?

This is going to really start building your list of prospects contacts, okay? You’re going to have all their contact information, easily just name and email is all people who have sort of tolerates what they’re used to saying out there.

And so, the very next thing is you’re going to polish off the design of your eBook, which is really unique because most of the – all of this homework that you’ve done is sort of developmental, no one is going to see these files you’re making on your computer. This eBook you’re about to polish off and design is the first thing that your customers are going to see, okay, and so is your website.

So before we get too far involved with creating designs and choosing color schemes and organizing the paper and maybe doing some last minute edits on the eBook itself, we need to take some time to understand the psychological profile of your target so that all of these stuff will be very inviting and compelling, and basically unlock the key to get them to do what you want. All right?

So remember how long you have with these people. Remember the 71% of people visiting websites, click out away from the website and leave it in less than five seconds. So it’s a very important that as many psychological barriers as you can reduce that you’d do that so that you wind up having a majority of people to stay on your site longer and long enough to at least consume your message, see what’s you’re about. If you can get them to stay on your page, then you can start tweaking things on your website to get them to buy.

So what we’re going to do is go through some questions for a psychological profile. And the theory here is to keep it simple. You’re not a psychiatrist like I’m going to be when I grow up, you know, you’re not a shrink, you’re not a psychologist. What you’re doing is if you’re not already good at this, it is a huge thing for you to begin to really put yourself into the mind of your consumer. Put yourself in to your shoes, or if you’re a member of the demographic or you used to be in their shoes for real, look back in any journals you had, the family albums journal, try to figure out and remember what it was like to be that person. Okay?

 
So what keeps them awake at night? 
Just write out any answer to this, okay? What do you think they worry about? What are they afraid of? What are they angry about? Most demographics have something, some kind of cause or something that disrupts them. You know, there’s a balance of nature in the world. If they’re avid golfers, then, you know,</itunes:summary>

This video is all about choosing your niche, how to assess market viability in advance. In other words, how can you be sure that the business you&#039;re about to start, your membership site in, the particular topic that you&#039;re choosing is actually going to pay, you know. You know, there&#039;s no way to totally predict the future, but part of the Membership Formula is all about getting you a guaranteed, you know, loyal community of followers. But you need to know in advance what the market viability is.


Is Niche Selection Overrated?
Niche selection. Personally, I think, niche selection is overrated, a little bit. More often, you find people whose businesses have failed and they tend to blame it on the market, you know, like it&#039;s the markets fault or something. So, I think, probably, 60 percent of those people that do that or are doing that a little bit too much can give you the incorrect message that it&#039;s more important which market you select than it is what you actually do in your business.

And I think that&#039;s a complete misrepresentation of reality. And then if you follow those people who tend to blame the market rather than their own business strategy in listening to any market, then you&#039;ll find that they may not be successful right away until they learn to quite doing that and learn how to satisfy the customer. Okay?

So that&#039;s a really bold statement, probably, controversial, but what I&#039;m trying to tell is that I believe the niche selection itself is not as important as you may think provided you follow a few simple rules. What are those rules? Perhaps you&#039;ve heard people blame a market after a failed business and you may want to know where did they fail. What went wrong? And I&#039;ll say that to be a good businessman or woman, you really do need to be sort of a critique and learn how to evaluate other business and this may help you to see yourself objectively because based on human nature, you really can&#039;t see your project objectively. And so this set of simple rules will help you to choose a niche in an objective way.
Choose Something You Enjoy
Rule number one, choose something that you enjoy. It ought to be fun. It ought to come from a place of passion. You really need to believe in what you&#039;re doing and you need to have enthusiasm in order to make a sale. So, right away, if you&#039;re choosing something you enjoy, then the sales are going to be pretty easy, you know.

Choose something that comes fairly easy to you. In fact, the more natural a topic is for you, a gift or talent that you may have and you choose that particular niche, the easier this whole process is going to be for you. Even you&#039;ll view it as an outlet, sort of therapy almost and in a way for you to express yourself, an adventure that is really helping other people in improving their lives.
Choose something that you already know about
If you&#039;re having to learn Internet business and membership subscription business models at the same time you&#039;re trying to learn a topic that you have known about before, you&#039;re just asking for failure. I mean, that&#039;s tough. I would say, &quot;Until you learn this business model, stick to something that you already know about. In this video we&#039;re going to take you to a nine step process for writing out – in writing your definite major purpose.  This is what will get you to the lifestyle of your dreams, to have that vision.


Determine Your Goals And Ambitions
In step one you are going to determine your goal in your life or your ambition and then picture it on your mind so intensely that it becomes a part of your subconscious mind. Now, for each of these nine steps, I actually want you to write this out and you don&#039;t have to write a novel.  It can be a few sentences or perhaps you&#039;ve already done this kind of personal development work.

And you&#039;ve got goals and savings written out on documents that&#039;s fine.  Go ahead and print them out and attach them to this document and I&#039;m saying here to write it actually down in step one.  We have a PDF file here for you, there is a checklist.  This exactly is going to have these steps as I am presenting them here.  There is a place here for you to write down each one of them.

So, again, print this out just to make sure you&#039;re getting throughout the homework but if you have already done the work and there is no sense really duplicating it.  You just print it out and staple, make a new file folder in your organizational system in your office, just to kind of give you that confidence and yes you are not skipping any steps here and you are doing all steps.
Research Your Goal
Okay, so that step one, is writing out your goal or your ambition, okay, and with detail.  Step two is getting all the information you can about this goal.  This is the research step. There are requirements for it, the possible compensation in your happiness, contentment in economic security. These are known as some of the other riches

Well, a lot of times people referring to owning monetary but there are lots of other lifestyle riches and reasons why we want to do this goals and you need to be real clear and specific in step two here about the kind of happiness it&#039;s going to give you, what it&#039;s going to do for you, the relationships in your life for you to accomplish your goal and that is step two.
Organize Your Facts Into An Order Of Accomplishment
In step three you analyze all those facts and you organized them into an order of accomplishment.  This is really a to-do list. Okay, so you&#039;re going to order by weeks or months over the course of a year for a major goal.  And as much as possible put out the major steps to accomplish your goal. Some people feel that it&#039;s best to start at the end goal and do backwards planning whatever way works for you depending on your situation and what your goal is.  It doesn&#039;t really matter but the goal is in step three to go ahead and come up with an order of accomplishment of your goals.
Set A Definite Time Frame
And step four is where you&#039;re going to set up a definite time for the accomplishment of your goal and you are going to add beginning and end dates to each of your weekly and monthly goals.  You know, if you are just starting out with this kind of work, you&#039;re going to have estimates here. It&#039;s not going to be perfect. You&#039;ve never done this kind of work before so there is no way you can accurately predict the time range it&#039;s going to take to do some of this stuff but it&#039;s important that you begin to train your mind on how to do this and how long it takes to accomplish your goal. This is very important so that you can be specific with product launches, later you can get better and better at this.  So this is the first step towards practice, put dates on it even if you are not sure.
Take Immediate Action
And step five is action, take immediate action to put these plans into effect and do it today.  List the immediate action that you can take to put these plans into immediate effect.  Notice the urgency of this.</itunes:summary>
